Gateway Ticketing Systems Selected By Rottnest Island
Gateway Ticketing Systems is pleased to announce its selection by Rottnest Island as the location’s new ticketing point of sale provider. Western Australia’s premier island destination, Rottnest Island offers family and outdoor activities on its 63 beaches, pristine snorkeling sites and 30+ miles of trails and roads to explore via guided tour, bus or bicycle. In addition to tours and beach activities, the Island offers entertainment through family fun and aqua parks, museums exploring local history, a golf course and movie theater.
The Island’s million plus annual visitors will enjoy an enhanced visitor experience with the implementation of Gateway’s flagship point of sale solution, Galaxy™. The Rottnest Island Authority, the statutory body that controls and manages the Island, will use Galaxy for tour and on-island transport sales, including bike and aquatic equipment rental items. In addition to activity-based sales, Galaxy will also be used for retail, food and beverage. Guests to the Island will be able to purchase tours and bicycle rentals at point of sale stations onsite or online using the Island’s eGalaxy Consumer Web Store. The Island will also implement kiosks for tour and bus tickets.
The project, which is in tandem with Gateway Value Added Reseller, Vticket, went live in November 2014. Galaxy’s ability to meet all the Island’s business requirements, as well as the responsiveness of the Gateway and Vticket teams during the selection process, were essential to the Authority’s decision to go with Galaxy. Vticket CEO, Derek Stoneman, is excited to work with such an important national site: “We are thrilled to be working with Rottnest Island Authority on their implementation of new Point of Sale, Web Store and Kiosk systems. VTicket and Galaxy were selected as the best solution to meet all the resort’s requirements and to provide professional implementation and support services. It is wonderful for us to be associated with such a well-known, iconic Australian resort.”
Gateway Ticketing Systems Business Solutions Manager, Mary Tannous, is excited to see Gateway partner with the one-of-a-kind location: “We are honored to welcome Rottnest Island to the Gateway family of customers and excited to see the growth taking place in the Australian market through our value-added reseller, Vticket. I am certain that with Vticket and Gateway by their side, the Rottnest Island Authority will not only maintain, but surpass the level of service and hospitality they currently provide to their customers. I have no doubt that they will be able to achieve and exceed their goals in 2015 and beyond.”
